Position: Diesel Mechanic (Trucks/Heavy Machinery/Industrial Equipment)

Job Type:  Full Time; Temp-to-Hire

Location:  Goose Creek, SC 29445

Pay Rate:  $18.00 – $25.00/HR [based on experience & paid weekly]

Shift:  8:00 AM – 5:00 PM [Mon-Fri]

Job Description: Responsible for performing various tasks that could include:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues such as mechanical, electrical and hydraulic, among others.
• Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and ensure compliance with safety standards
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or installations
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities
• Fabricate or modify parts as needed
• Any and all other duties as requested by site supervisor

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
• Must have 1+ years experience in a mechanic or maintenance role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with team members
• Ability to work independently
• Willing to travel off-site for repairs and customer service
• Ability to supply own hand tools (specialty tools can be provided)
• Must have valid driver’s license
